All set for Hammered 2 at davey's sports ground on Prince of Wales rd on the main Sheffield ring road On the Friday we've 4 local bands featuring The Stoops (indi), section 60 (indi/ stone roses ish), durban (indi / punk) and Skyedge (punk / oi) for people who don't do bands we have the 7" vinyl display team in the other room. also pub prices all weekend and cheep bottles . On the Sat we've got the beer fuelled Karaoke where you can get up on the roof and sing with the band also plenty of stalls to go at and then at night two rooms of music with the main room pumping scooter classics and the boys from the KGB soul club in the other to keep everyone happy and all for a fiver anight with free camping see you there piggy |

It is my sons School Prom on the 11th May 09 and him and his 2 friends are going up on my husbands and a couple of friends vespas, but what they would love is a big turnout of scooters to follow them up, as to look like a huge scooter run!! it will only be for an hour and it will start at about 7.15pm to around about 8.15 pm. Read this it affects us all Sarah Kennedy was on about this proposed car tax scheme on the radio. Apparently there is only one month left to register your objection to the 'Pay as you go' road tax. The petition is on the 10 Downing St website but they didn't tell anybody about it. Therefore at the time of Sarah's comments only 250,000 people had signed it so far and 750,000 signatures are required to stop them introducing it. This is legit... from the 10 Downing Street's website. Once you've given your details (you don't have to give your full address, just house number and postcode will do), they will send you an email with a link in it. Once you click on that link, you'll have signed the petition. Democracy in action? The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working mother who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month. On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit in time you can probably expect a Notice of Intended Prosecution with your monthly bill. hi to all at treakle town sc we are conducting a survey into which kit is best? We are looking for feedback on any lambretta or vespa performance kits. i.e performance, reliability, fuel consumption and maintenance cost. Also how your engine is set up i.e carb,exhaust,clutch etc, everybody’s opinion is different about performance kits and there parts so lets see how good or bad they really are. This is a message of apology. We were due to attend the scoots and boots rally on saturday and bring along a stall from the kitbag, sadly the weather was not on our side, we didnt have a waterproof awning, and were pretty sure we wouldnt have survived under our small gazebo. We didnt have any way of getting in touch except through this site, as we know everyone whos there is not at home to contact. So from the bottom of my heart I apologise for being a "let down" it wasnt intended, and we hope you all had a brilliant time, with that strong ale and a nice warm pub to sit in to dodge the rain. Having never held stalls until we were contacted by this fabulous club, we have decided that if you should like us to attend in future events, we'll pull our fingers out and buy a large awning with enough room to have a chill out section (or a weather protector!) So again sorry we were not there, and if we are invited again we'll be prepared, for some funny reason i had visions of last years nice warm day, and thought we'd be just as lucky this year, its a real shame i think of what we'd do if it rained... EAST MIDLAND SCOOTER ALLIANCE WANT TO BEAT THE BIKERS TO MATLOCK BATH ON Sunday 17th September What can be better than a stroll by the river Derwent on a Sunday with Candy floss or toffee apple in hand, fish and chips for dinner all Washed down with a pint of your favourite tipple in one of the Baths local pubs. Walk along admiring all the scoots lined up in this historic Picturesque Derbyshire town. THE RIDE OUT WILL LEAVE THE HURT ARMS ON THE A6 DERBYSHIRE AT 10.00am PROMPT TO GET INTO MATLOCK BEFORE THE BIKERS AS PARKING IS LIMITED ON THE ROAD Anyone wishing to travel up the night before to save an early start can camp at the hurt arms at the cost of £5.00 per tent and need to pre book direct through the pub on 01773 852006 or [email protected]. They do decent meals at reasonable prices, there's also a Chinese restaurant and a cafe across the road as well as a petrol station 100 yards away. We are keen to stress that we are not anti bike. Matlock bath is a perfect place to ride to.
