Lady Eagles,
I have enjoyed coaching all of you this season. All in all we did well this season. I would like to ask you ladies to just remember one thing and that's never under estimate any team out there and always play the game to win and play it to the end. Nothing is given, you have got to want it!

I want to thank our Team Mom's for all of your countless hours you where great! I want to thank my wife Sara for being our business manager and doing such a awesome job with our travel arrangments(maybe now my phone bill will go down). Thanks to Coach Larry, Coach Mark and Coach Pete I really enjoyed hanging out with you guys this season. A special thanks to my man Rob. Rob was always there to help at practice, careing for our team gear and helping during our travel tournaments. We couldn't have done it with out you Rob. Thanks to you parents for all your support whether it be at working Bingo or cheering on the girls. When ever anyone asked for help you parents were there.

Good luck at try outs and see you around the field.

Eagles,
Talk about saving the best for last! There is like 30 teams in this weekends tournament. WOW! I have said it all season and I might as well say one last time. Your the team to beat. Let's have a good scrimage tonight and and focus on the task at hand and go win this last tournament of our season.

Lady Eagles,
I would say you ladies ROCKED the "ROCK & ROLL Invitational" tournament this weekend.

No seriously you girls played awesome! I asked you ladies on Saturday to give 110 percent and to just completely focus on winning this tournament and leave everything you have on the field, just do this for yourself. You ladies did just that and I'm very proud of each and everyone of you.

A part of me is Happy that the season is coming to an end and that some of you are getting ready to go to the next level with the 14's. There also is a part of me that finds it sad because I really have enjoyed coaching each and everyone of you and will miss being around you. I promise to keep up with all of your softball careers.
Enjoy the week off you deserve it!

Coach Dave

Great job today Lady Eagles! You gals really showed awesome heart and determination. It was nice to see you put together a whole bunch of hits in that last inning. It would really be nice if you didn't wait until the final 3 outs...you're going to give us all a heart attack. We are so proud of the way you fought back...especially in the heat of the day. Great job again and enjoy the week off.

Well, ladies, I don't remember Coach Larry taking off his hat other than to wipe the sweat from the heat! Who knew you could pull off that tournament? We ALL did! You girls were ALL awesome this weekend! Thanks, coaches, for encouraging them all the way. It's going to cost us about $100 to replenish the med kit - but I think the girls would agree that all the boo-boo's were worth it! Great job, Eagle Warriors!
Coach Mark wrote on June 1st, 2009
Congratulations Lady Eagles on a great weekend of softball! 5 games on a blazing hot Sunday and you all still did not give up! Thanks to all of our players for their hard work, our injured reserve for always being ready to step up to help however they could, to our team moms for all you do in taking such good care of our girls and to our parents for all of your support. And thanks to John and Lori for offering up the "Eagle-mobile" as a place to cool off, serve up lunch and just hang out to relax in between all of our games! And a special shout out to our "medical team" for patching up our girls. (LOL) What a weekend!

Unbelieveable Ladys,,I totally agree, their is no room for singling anyone out,,this was a team effort,it took everyone of our Lady Eagles, parents and coaches to make this past weekend one for the books.Remember this could not of happen on individual performances, this happen because it was a team effort. If you read back a few days,,I wrote to Coach Dave,Its time to stop congrats on third place,we needed to step it up a notch,,and you responded awesomely. So Lady Eagles,You know your next step,,Let's do some healing, and give Kinston NC something to talk about. You showed the heart, the will, lets continue to use it.When you walk into the ballpark, you want to be notice.Lady Eagles,it takes a lot of teams 2 to 3 tournaments to play 8 ballgames, you did in one.
Coach Dave wrote on June 1st, 2009
Lady Eagles,
I think the home plate umpire said it best. When at the start of the championship game he introduced us to our opponent as the Lady Warriors not the Lady Eagles. He said that he had been watching us all weekend and in all his years never seen a team keep fighting like you all did. I will say this. We may not have been the team who won in the end, but we are the team everyone was and will be talking about.

I agree with coach Pete I'm not going to single out anyone indivdual because battles like that can only be won as a team with alot of heart.

Thanks to our team Moms great job as always! Thanks to John and Lori for the use of the new "Eagle Mobile". Thanks to you parents that work bingo and make all of this possible but mostly thanks to you Eagles for such an exciting weekend of softball. Yes I know the College World Series is on TV but who cares when you can watch the "LADY WARRIORS"

Congratulations Eagles...you all played awesome this weekend. You played with so much heart and that's what it takes to be winners! We know that you didn't have a whole lot of energy near the end, but you didn't give up. Coming back to win in a couple of those games showed just how much you wanted it - GREAT JOB! I don't really want to single any girls out because you played and WON like a TEAM and that's what it is all about. I (and I know the other coaches feel the same way) am so proud of you all...it reminded me of Mechanicsville!

Great job team moms and parents for helping make it fantastic weekend. (Lynn - ready for another Chinese fire-drill?)

Rachel - I hope you are recovering from your water ballon to the face.

Injured girls - GET BETTER, we need you back!

Have a great week and rest up.

Larry, we are all pulling for you to have a quick and speedy recovery. Listen to your doctors and you'll be back in the dugout before you know it. Trust that your coaches and parents will take good care of your girls until you get back.

Eagles, you all performed amazingly well, considering only having had 2 practices! You've now set the bar to win tournaments. A huge thanks needs to go out to our coaches, team moms, and for Blake and Coach Mike helping us out over this past weekend. Go Eagles!

From the fox clan I would also like to extend our heartfelt wishes for all success to the girls who must leave 12U to try out for 14U. We have been blessed to have been a part of such a wonderful group of girls and have developed friendships that will last a lifetime. We are truly parents that are sharing a common goal of softball excellence combined with developing strong character for our girls.

We are grateful for all of the effort and dedication put forth by Coaches Larry, Bob, Mike and Cleo. Your extra efforts paid huge dividends not only in the form of trophies but of teaching our young girls some life lessons.

It is a sad cross road that we face and parting company is difficult but perhaps we will once again share the same sideline in the not so distant future.

GO EAGLES

What a way to finish the season! 92 games, 6 1st place, 2 2nd place, and 3 3rd place finishes. You ladies made being team mom easy and fun. Best of luck to everyone, I'm going to miss this group of girls tremendously.

The Powell Family would like to thank Coach Larry, Bob, Mike, and Cleo for all your hard work and dedication. Jenna was truly blessed to have you all for coaches. Thanks for allowing her this opportunity.

Thanks to the girls for all the laughs and excitement along the tournament trail. You are a special group of young ladies and we will never forget you. (YOU KNOW!)

Thanks to the parents as well, we have made a lot of knew friends here with the Eagles and have shared alot of good times (speeding tickets, getting lost on the way to tournament's and
losing Tyler in a cardboard box included) we will make it a point to stay in touch.

See everyone around the ballfield.
