Just heard the very sad news. JB Baits was one our stops prior to any fishing trip on the river .
Bob was always happy and never missed a chance to joke with us about fishing. My wife and he had an understanding that 2 dozen minnows was usually about 52. One of the good ones for sure!

Bobby was a great fishing friend. He took me in my first Bassin' for Bucks tournament in Sioux Narrows when I was 16. We also fished the Shoal Lake Spring Tournament together. We spent many hours in the tackle shop and at Smitty's talking about fishing and the latest lures and techniques. Often I would stop in on my way home from work with Brock to check out tackle. His impact and roll in making the Bronzeback Classic what it is today can't be understated. He's influenced and bolstered youth fishing in Northwestern Ontario for decades to come. I'll miss you Bobby, catch a great big largie up there, I hope they are always biting for you!

We became friends when he built our upstairs addition. Bob and Ben took a few fishing trips together that made for good times and great memories. Thanks Bob!
