Hi Guys,
I was so sad to hear about your Dad. At this time of the year when Cubs are starting up again, I have so many wonderful memories. For several years we had a leadership team of 6 and your Dad was one of them. What a fun time. The year that Kris and my Chris joined the pack, your Dad and I made a deal after the second meeting. I would speak to his Kris and he would speak to mine, because neither of you would listen to your own parent. We must of done good, because both of you grew up to be fine men. Several past leaders have called me and we had fun recalling memories. Both of your parents were terrific. Your Mom made special 'cut out flower' pictures and I have one of them. They were very proud of their sons and rightly so as they set a good example. Blessings on you both and your families.

Karl, Kris and families, so sorry for your loss. Eric was a really good friend, helped me so much with our Hydro telecom work, I learned a lot from him. At site visits he was most hospitable after hours. In retirement his jokes and emails were great. We had good conversations. I know he missed Carol very much as I'm sure you do but they are together now. I miss him lots now, too.

Karl and Kris , I was deeply saddened to hear that Eric, your Dad has passed away. I hope you find some solace in knowing your Dad grace this earth. He is a good man. I have a few memories of your Dad I will never forget and hold dear. Firstly I had a Dad crush on your Dad. I thought he was the coolest, funniest, warmest most adventurous Dad around. He was always exploring things , explaining things and teaching. He shared his curiosity and was patient and gentle and fun. When I was babysitting you two he showed me a new game I’d never heard of, Pong. Hitting that ball back and forth and sneaking into your freezer to eat your Moms amazing butter tarts was the best babysitting job ever! Whenever we would pass each other between houses, he’d ask how I was and I knew he genuinely wanted to know and cared about me and my sisters. He knew when to give a jumbled up teenager a tender hug and words of encouragement. It meant a lot then, does now and always will. My deepest condolences

Karl, Kris, , I am having a hard time with my brother's passing , no words can ease the pain you two must be experiencing, but there will come a time when the pain turns to numbness. Stay strong as you can, Love Kirk. Mark and Brock and myself want to go to Kirkland lake to the service.

Kris and Karl, sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. He was one of a kind. I enjoyed running into him at the range. He taught me a lot about shooting and safety. I always got a laugh from him. Rest in peace Eric you left the world far too soon.

Karl and Kris we send our heartfelt sympathy to you all . Eric has been a good friend for so many ontario hydro years I can't remember. I worked as a supplier for the years he was designing hydraulic plant protection. He was a memorable man. I expect heaven will be getting some new electrical stations built. My wife Dee and I wish you both all the best. We hope Eric and Carol are peaceful now. Ken and Dee

I was so saddened to hear of Eric's sudden passing. Eric was a neighbour and friend for many years near me on McKenzie Portage Road. He was always kind and helpful to many including myself. His sense of humour was delightful and his conversations always interesting and welcomed. He will be greatly missed. A true loss to our community. My condolences to Karl and Kris and all of Eric's family. May the memories you have soften your grief.
