We got to know Maxine as we were neighbours in the condo, in Keewatin…up and down the hallway she’d go, with her walker, but always had time to stop and chat about life..she was a very good neighbour and was missed when she moved to Pinecrest..God bless you!

Maxine and I worked together in the Indian Affairs and Northern Development Office in Kenora between 1979 and 1981. She was dedicated to her work, diligent and always in good spirits. Few knew that she served Canada during WWII with her employment that was located in a temporary government building in Ottawa. I respected her discretion and caring for community members in the Kenora area of Treaty #3 and fellow workers in Kenora.

I enjoyed caring for Maxine’s “ears” and always enjoyed our conversations while I was helping her out.
