Just heard about Denise passing. I knew her through curling and was lucky to go the national championship with her curling team. What a solid player she was a what a fine inspiration to everyone her knew. So quick to encourage and praise everyone - even players on the other teams. I am truly saddened by her passing and I know she will leave a big hole in many people’s lives. I will miss her especially now as we open up and can get back to curling. So long my friend. I bet you already have them rolling in laughter in heaven. x Jodi

Peter, my heartfelt condolences at the passing of your wonderful wife, Denise. I met Denise through curling, and will miss her dynamic contribution to the leagues, club and sport. She was a doer, a volunteer, and fun to be around. I would be remiss to say that we will miss her Christmas Rum Cake, it was legendary. May she Rest In Peace, and you in the happy memories of your life together.

I am so sorry, Peter, for your loss. Denise was a wonderful lady, one whom I really liked. Even after her accident, she was always willing and ready to help me at the Cat Shelter sales and in later years, she always had that one ingredient we needed. She will be missed by so many.

Dear Peter and family, I am very saddened to hear of Denise's passing. My sincere condolences. I feel very honoured that I got to be part of a sport that Denise excelled in and that I was able to share these experiences with her. I will cherish the memories of the fun times we had together! My condolences to Denise’s family. Denise and I crossed paths many times throughout the years and I always enjoyed our time together. She was not only very sharp, but had an excellent sense of humor that I will miss very much. So much strength and tenacity. I’m so sad I won’t get the chance to enjoy another chat with her. She was one of a kind.

Expressing my sincere condolences to all the family and friends of Denise. I first met her at Birchwood and we had many pastoral luncheons that she hosted with graciousness. Friendly and bubbly, and a great personality that affected many lives. Comfort and peace to all, Pastor Robert Wittmeier.
