You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am remembering all of the great gatherings and meals hosted by Myrna that I was a part of over the years. From her million dollar chicken to the rice in the special pot to her vina tarter she sure knew how to feed a crowd! Always busy in the kitchen, but you knew she was listening and giggling her infectious laugh at the antics going on around her. You were a wonderful “Ma” to my girls and you will be truly missed by so many. Fly high and rest easy Myrna.

Doug and family. I am so sorry and saddened to have heard of Myrna’s sudden passing. I have known Myrna since I was very young. She and Doug would be at all of the Stemkoski (Sorobey) family weddings, funerals and family gatherings in Winnipeg. They were the out of town, musical “hotel owners” who were always jovial, kind and demonstrated a genuine interest in all their family. It was evident at that time how important family was to Myrna, and since Dennis and I moved to Kenora, this became even more evident. Our daughter Leah has fond memories of working with Myrna at the DQ. She called her the master dilly bar and buster bar maker. I feel so fortunate to have had a few visits with Myrna before curling in Keewatin this fall. All of our conversations involved our families. Dennis and I send our deepest condolences to you Doug and family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
