Dear Lee, Dave and family;
I got to know and love Hoken during my Mom's time at Benidickson. They both enjoyed the Norwegian folk music he played .. I'm so sorry to hear about his passing.
Sending my sincere condolences,
Carolyn

Your Dad and my Parents were good friends in Churchill and then in Kenora. I had the privilege of knowing him as I grew up. I often think of him telling me that his priorities in life were Family, Job and Service to the Community; in that exact order. That message has served me well over the years. Rest In Peace, Hoken!

I got to know Hoken while my mom (Teresa Favreau) lived at Benedictson. They became good friends and Hoken became my Mom's chauffeur. He helped my mom alot and I got to know him thru her. He came on a trip to Thunder Bay with me to visit his daughter He had lots of stories and was a pleasure to travel with. Rest in peace Hoken

There are not enough words to describe what a wonderful person Hoken was. Always happy and helpful. He gave me my first job at Trio Motors and sold my Mom and Dad their first new Ford. If anyone came to the garage no matter how late and if your dad was there you would work on their car to get them on their way. He was loved and will be missed by many. Hope you are having a good time at Assiniboine Track or maybe in Vegas. Love to all the family.

So very sorry for your loss. I got to know Hoken while working at LifeLabs, he was a regular with us. He always brought us candy, change for our coffee fund and told us a joke or two. He will be missed by all who met him as he is one you could never forget.

We are sending our most sincere condolences to Lee and Dave, and all the other family members in this sad time. Hoken was very good to me as a young man (22) and helped me out on many occasions during my life. He was always a great friend and somewhat of a mentor to me as well. Barb and I shall look forward to seeing him in heaven in the future. We wish all the children, grand children, and great grand children peace and comfort during this trying time.
