As we enter our last tournament, I want to thank all involved, coaches, parents, and especially the VA Lady Eagles 16U players for a FANTASTIC season! The Eagles have really stepped up to all challenges. Hopefully as they prepare for our last tournament, they will keep the fire burning. Also I want a special thanks to all of you folks that have helped and contributed in our lunch sesions for the Girls. We look forward to more fun in the future! |

Parents, The board apologizes for cancelling the VLE Parent Meeting on Wednesday, March 14, on such short notice. Although we notified you that the meeting is rescheduled for March 21st, that meeting has now fallen through too. We will let you all know as soon as we have a firm date for the meeting. The meeting will start at 7:30. It is important that at least one parent for each player attends. Paperwork for the 2007 calendar year must be completed. VLE logo merchandise will be for sale. This is one of only four times per year that parents will be able to buy VLE logo items. Summer schedules, new uniform fees, and school grades / NCAA requirements will be discussed, as well as other topics. As of December 14, 2006, the VLE Board of Directors has two At-Large member openings. Interested volunteers can contact any current board member for information. VLE board member contact information is provided on the VLE webpage at http://www.valadyeagles.org/MainPage/Eagles_board.htm. If you decide to volunteer to be a board member, please send an e-mail to Mike Reda, President of the Board, using the e-mail address listed on the website. Mike will bring your nomination to the board. The board may ask you to attend a board meeting for an interview. From the Team Moms' e-mail . . . ... 16U Christmas party info: Monday Dec.18th Kempsville High School 6:30 - about 8:30 It will be pot luck so please e-mail Ms. Roenker and let her know what you would like to bring to make sure we have a variety. We would like finger foods to make it easy. We will do a special present exchange. The girls will receive a name and buy a stuffed animal ($10-$15) that reminds them of some trait of that girl. They will exchange the animals and tell why they picked that stuffed animal. Then we would like to donate them to the childrens hospital. During the party we will play a special game that will require the girls to wear tennis shoes and bring a flashlight if we can do it outside. Also we will need parents to help with the activity. Parents, let Ms. Roenker know ASAP if your child will be participating in the exchange, so no player will be left out and what you would like to bring. Thanks, Donna and Debra |
