Congratulations on 60 years! I grew up with WKDK at our home in Prosperity. (My dad and mom still listen every day.) When I was at Mid Carolina High we would go to the station at night and record a radio program to be aired later. It was so corny, but we had a great time. Now that our son is at Newberry College, I am again enjoying WKDK through the live broadcasts on my computer. And, since Jimmy sounds just like his dad, it's just like old times. It has been a great pleasure knowing the Coggins family for over 30 years. Both Mr. C and Jimmy have always been strong supporters of the Newberry Community. Their voices continue to ring out in the positively in Newberry Radio. Their service and support of local organizations is greatly appreciated. The Newberry Rotary club has benefited greatly by their past and present contributions. |
